Help Take Chemistry 'Magic' Shows to Local Classrooms!

10/28/2019

Comments

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry (CBC) at the University of Arizona is pleased to offer science demonstration "magic" shows to K-12 schools and other community organizations in the Tucson area during the academic year. While CBC student magicians don’t charge a fee, there is a small cost involved in presenting each show. Due to budget cuts, the CBC department no longer has funds available for outreach programs such as these, so while we would like to continue these shows at no cost, it just isn’t possible. Unfortunately, most K-12 schools don’t have funds available to pay for extras such as this and will be forced to miss out on these education and entertaining presentations.

To support CBC students continuing their outreach efforts by promoting chemistry in local classrooms, consider making a donation by visiting the website: crowdfund.arizona.edu/projects/16339

If you have any questions, you can contact the Student Members of the American Chemical Society (SMACS) at smacsarizona[at]gmail.com.
